Jerry Sehlke, Clarke Kido and Val Haddon attach field tiles using stainless steel screws. The coldest part of the winter hit at Thanksgiving and work had to stop early.
The Japanese use nails. We did not trust ourselves to hammer nails in while leaving the heads up exactly 1/16 of an inch. Hammers with ceramic tiles also sounded risky.
